Grade 5 Transition Information

MRMS Grade 5 and New Student Orientation

On August 26 from 9-11 am, we will be hosting our annual Summer Orientation for new students in all grades, as well as for all 5th-grade students. This is an optional event but is a great way to get students comfortable in the new space. During this time we will distribute student schedules, tour the building, begin to practice routines, and learn more about what the day-to-day looks like at our school. While students are off in the building, we will have a presentation in the auditorium for families who choose to stay while the children are in orientation. The parents and caregivers will have an opportunity to participate in the NEED Academy trip to Truro presentation, meet the principal, and learn more about opportunities for students outside of the school day including athletics, recreational programming, and library programming. We will also have Transportation Coordinator Faith Rushnak available to answer questions about busing.
